Concept project

Caribbean General Contractors

A complete redesign concept for Caribbean General Contractors, an established civil and infrastructure contractor: project case studies, fleet and hire, careers — built from CGC's own public content and photography.

Concept project: an unsolicited redesign created to demonstrate our approach. Not commissioned by or affiliated with CGC.

The brief

An established civil and infrastructure contractor with strong projects and a website that didn't show them. We set ourselves the brief to present the company the way international firms present themselves: projects first, proof on every page, and an easy path to enquire, hire equipment or apply for a job.

What we built

A complete, working 21-page website concept: home, about, a services overview with five service pages (ground works, road works, water works, equipment hire and container hire), a projects overview with nine project case studies, an equipment and container hire page, careers and contact.

Features
  • Designed phone-first, then scaled up for desktop
  • Project case studies with the company's own photography
  • Enquiry and hire request forms
  • A careers page to help with recruitment
  • Fast, lightweight build with no heavy plugins
  • Running as a live working preview

Inside the concept

The brief we set ourselves: present a contractor of CGC's calibre the way international firms present themselves — projects first, proof on every page, and an easy path to enquire, hire or apply.

CGC is a concept project created to demonstrate our approach, using CGC's publicly available content and photos. It is not commissioned by or affiliated with Caribbean General Contractors.

The brief

Show the scale and progress of a coastal resort build in a way that stops the scroll: cinematic, fast and on-brand, without relying on stock footage.

What we made

Filming from the air and the ground across the site and coastline, then edited into vertical 9:16 reels, 4:5 cuts for the feed, and full-quality masters, each with a logo end card.

Techniques
  • 4K drone footage, reframed for punch-ins
  • Real slow motion from high-frame-rate footage
  • Eased speed ramps with motion blur
  • Whip, flash and dissolve transitions
  • Custom colour grade and animated typography
  • Original sound design synced to every cut

Plan to reality

How we tell a construction story: from first cranes to the finished build, rain or shine.
